How long after GT6 did they shut down the GT5 servers?

5 months.

Wow, that's pretty fast.  I think I can still play Forza 4 online.

Just seems kinda fast for a game many like to play online.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

Around the Network

That's...shady, to say the least.

Official Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Thread

So I saw the article on the side bar that VGC had posted and decided to do a little research into whether or not the game was being shut down in the UK/EU only or if this meant the US as well.

What I did find was that A) The US is unconfirmed as of now.
B) The UK is confirmed.

But most importantly, I realized that various large news outlets are reporting this and -literally- trying to get users to raise pitchforks by sensationalizing this as something unique, but then.... I came across this

MLB 09 servers down 03/17/2010
MLB 10 servers down 03/22/2011
MLB 11 servers down 05/10/2012
MLB 12 servers down 09/15/2013
MLB 13 servers down 11/06/2014
MLB 14 servers down 06/18/2015

This suggests to me that anyone who actually plays the franchise, is very familiar with the ~1 year lifespan of these games and is probably used to/okay with this.

So let's be honest. How many people bitching here were ever actually going to play the game? It's pretty sad to me that there's so many clickbait articles going around who all link back to the UK source (again, it's only confirmed in the UK) and then don't even mention how this has been happening every fucking year.

Anyway, OP, I hope that you include that list of shutdown dates in the topic please. At the least, you have my permission.
