Forums - Gaming Discussion - If Kojima leaves Konami, should he join SCE Japan Studio

Just like Konami Team Silent's Keichiro Toyama left for Japan Studio and went on to make Siren and Gravity Rush. Could he get the creative freedom at SCEJ that he lacked at Konami, being finally freed from the shackles of the MGS series? Maybe a Western collaboration? Who else could he join? Let's just hope his genius doesn't get downgraded to making indie games to be able to create what he wants.

No, he should commit sudoku for leaving all us poor, abused Silent Hill fans hanging.

He wont leave. Its a April fool troll. But if he leaves SCEJ should have him.

Na he needs to make multiplat games so maybe he should start his own company.

I hope so

isn't he like vice president of Konami Digital? who is stopping him from making the games he want?

I don't think it's been confirmed yet that he has left or if anything has really happened there, but Sony would give him excellent creative freedom.

I wonder if Kojima could afford to buy out Kojima Productions? He has to be worth a fair bit, maybe he'll buy the company from Konami and just do his own thing.
Sony could probably buy Kojima Productions and add them to their roster of developers.

I think the Internet would explode if that happens, even if Konami kept the rights to Metal Gear and Kojima didn't own the series to use the title as a Playstation exclusive.
