Pretty sad what my konami has become just like with team silent they think they can make it without the devolopers but they were totally wrong

It looks like Kojima Productions Los Angeles is renamed to Konami Los Angeles Studio when you look at available jobs at the studio.

Yeah people always say the same with SEGA and how there games output can be garbage and forget all their other shit that makes money.
Also Konami are still big in arcades yeah?? Well for arcade standards in Japan these days.

Tbh though, I would love to see Kojima go indie for a few years at the end of his career like a few big name devs have been doing in Japan.

It wouldn't really surprise me considering the things he's got up to in the past. But why now?

Anything simple to keep his name in the news leading up to MGSV. Its easier to do this than make a new trailer.
I highly doubt its a troll though, I think Kojima is stepping back and taking a lesser role at Konami for awhile before he retires/leaves for indie. He may only have 2 or 3 games left at Konami and is no longer needed in his current role as VP.

In a statement provided to VideoGamer.com, a Konami representative said: "Konami Digital Entertainment, including Mr. Kojima, will continue to develop and support Metal Gear products. Please look forward to future announcements."

Konami was hit by major layoffs recently. I wouldn't be surprised if Kojima wasn't promoted/given his own studio etc, and decided to leave. He's one of the greatest developers of our time...working for an underperforming company with evolving goals is not the best spot for him.

I am excited and scared about this whole situation.

For one I am now worried about where he's going, for another I'm excited to see what he will do with his free reign.

Also, I put in a headline recently that I wouldn't be surprised if he starts working on movies. Him and Guillermo del Toro are pretty close and they're both working on silent hills.
