6 months is a little too short for me. I say a year. Just make damn sure we get regular updates throughout that year.

SM3DW was 6 months. 6 months is plenty of time.
Devil third is a prime example of what not to do in a video game reveal

I have to agree with 6 months being ideal. After 6 months it starts getting a bit annoying to wait for release and hard to maintain hype. However, most games are revealed at E3 so I don't expect all them to release in the Holidays (which is 6 months) so as long as games don't go through the same conference twice, I think it's fine.

If it was six months, it would always seem like there's hardly anything coming. We wouldn't have even heard of Zelda U yet.
It gives us stuff to talk about and be excited for. I do not see the issue.....

What I'm talking about is when they don't give us enough to talk about or be excited for.

Do you consider the No Man's Sky trailer from last year to be in this category? Because we did not find out hardly anything about it back then and everyone has been talking about it and excited for it

I find it hard to maintain hype over a figment. I need something tangible.

Being excited for a games potential does not mean you have got to buy it. it means you are excited for the potential of a game. You can change your mind at any point lol. I just do not see an issue with keeping us excited for the future (still dying to get my hands on No Man's Sky lol)
