Ah, this is sad. I was really hoping for a-la-carte options. Bundled packages are a major problem with TV, Sony should have taken a swing and forced a-la carte.

Bundled media is on deathwatch. Sony have basically given a time limit to their new business model, unless they are unwilling to unbundle down the line.

Completely agree. I personally only want like 4 channels and don't want to pay a shit ton for ones I won't use.

Damn, you guys in the US pay 50+ just to have internet? And at what speeds?
Here i pay 60 euros for 130 channels iptv, with dvr and 7days rewind (ondemand) in more than 50 channels, i get 100 down and 10 up optic fiber internet, free to use, on land lines numbers, home phone and 2 mobile numbers with "unlimited" call and sms for all networks and 400 mb of mobile internet (they could give us a little more but i don't mind, don't use it very often)
Sony could bring vue to here, but charging more than 15 euros would result in a massive flop.

Proudest Platinums - BF: Bad Company, Killzone 2 , Battlefield 3 and GTA4

If they ever snag ABC/ESPN, wonder what the price would be. ESPN is the major fee collector in cable.

I can't imagine anyone in the US using one of the TV/Internet bundle happy providers switching to this, unless they are just hell bent on not staying with cable.

You mean...for reasons other than those already outlined in this thread...oooorrr...?

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Price? Most US cable companies use bundles. So if a customer removes their cable service, their Internet costs will just go up, because the unbundled price will be higher.

Wow, those prices...are insane...$50 for just TV.
I am so happy that for €30 I can get unlimited phone, unlimited internet and a 100 TV channels...and I am seriously thinking of switching to a more affordable provider.

EU in a nutshell.

I wonder if Disney, the parent of ABC and ESPN, is holding out on Sony until they fully get back the rights to Spider-man.  LOL...

That would be a nice package for living on residence at university here in canada. sadly by the time that ever gets here to canada, the channels will be stripped to nothing and the price jacked due to the weakened dollar.

Thanks jlmurph!

As I said earlier, I can only speak for my particular case. But after doing the math dropping Comcast for PSVue and HBO Now would be about $35 less a month than what I'm paying now. That's assuming we keep the same internet speed.

Though to be honest, with how crappy Comcasts service (both cable, and customer) even if it were the same price I'd happily jump ship.
