All I know is that the name won't be as cool as the final product. I tend to like the prototype/code names of Nintendo systems more than the official ones.

Cafe was a better name than wiiU, that I agree.
NX is a platform service rather than hardware I reckon. It will run on Wii U and PC/tablets, and will begin Nintendos slow phasing out of the home console business.

Does "dedicated game system" means that to you?
Because in my book that´s a new machine, not a Nintendo Steam.

How I WISH they would partner with STEAM lol.
Its defintely a new system. Is is a portable you can dock? Who knows. If its has PS4 power when docked and a notch lower 1080p when portable that is pretty damn cool in my book. (and a real controller when docked!)
I always felt the Wii U should have been called NES HD or NES 6 etc. NESHD just has a natural ring to it.

System doesnt imply hardware. I certainly think there is a 3ds successor coming, but I dont think that is what nintendo are talking about.
2 platforms:
1-console, PS4 power like, mobile chip,16Gb ram, 1080@60, 300$
2-handheld, x360 power like, same chip as platform1, 4 Gb ram, 640p to 720p screen, or double 480p screens. 200$. Runs also the mobile games launched for mobile.
Same games can run in both consoles, witch higher performance on the home console, but some of them will still be exclusive. Pokemon and others for the handheld, 3d zelda and some local multiplayer to console. But most games will be shared. Amiibo and faceplate.
Its gonna be announced next year but will come out 2017
I think one of possibilities is them pulling another Wii - some 2-3x better hardware than Wii U, with VR for $250. Wiimote is already there, they just need some glasses and they're probably set for another mass market craze.

Even with the way Nintendo has talked about VR? Granted, they've talked similarly about mobile, and now they're gonna make games for that. But no way it would be that cheap for a VR headset plus a console capable of running it.
