The reason why some Nintendo fans aren't happy about Nintendo going mobile is because of their quality of games.
If you had to split your workforce between the mobile AND the console/handhelds, that means less games for consoles and handhelds. If they try to push out games faster to meet the demand for the consoles, the quality will go down. Plus, if they make great mobile games, the handhelds will die really fast.

It took them long enought. They have the perfect franchises for mobile. Prices should go down over time but like Kowen said, increased revenue and a foundation for the further for the company.

It's about time, people who don't want to accept it can go back to distant past on 80's, 90's or early 2K.

it is a natural form of evolution from Wii perspective actually, with the design to cater more audience especially new gamer (core, casual, non Nintendo gamer), bigger market ain't that bad it's the opposite it will create opportunities for bigger profit and it worked in the past with Wii.

Soon the face of video games industry will change into a weird face, unfamiliar for old gamer but games and gamer still there, it just live on different form.

We cannot stop it the natural evolution, we may not like it but the future kid might accept it, it doesn't matter because sooner or later we will be replaced by a new generation. What we can do is just embrace it.
