What year do you think Wii U's successor will launch?

2017 81 52.26%

2018 62 40.00%

2019+ 12 7.74%

Total:155

I just want to see what everyone thinks if there is a consensus for the year.Anyone who says 2016 knows thats not possible.2017 at the earliest (5 years).I think 2018 cause they have to launch as close to Sony and Microsofts next consoles.Which would be 2019 at the earliest.

End of 2016.

LMAO for who said 2016... 2017 or 2018. I'm go with 2018.

Holiday 2017 or some time in 2018. IIt depends on how much money Wii U is making by that time, whether they want a console and handheld simultaneous launch, what launch titles they want for it, and how much more powerful than Gen 8 they want it to be. I still believe quite firmly their next console will outpace PS4 in power (should be really easy by either of thoe years), but by how much is the question.

November 16, 2018. I'll be waiting in line freezing my ass at the Nintendo World Store for the midnight release.

They don't. The PS1 benefitted hugely from arriving years before the N64 and if MS and Sony keep developers/consumers locked onto this gen for as long they did last gen in spite of the fact that PS4/X1 specs aren't suited for such a long lifespan, developers and people alike will run to Nintendo's platform provided its a generational leap over the PS4 and isn't marketed at children (both are complete unknowns given Nintendo's recent efforst)

I think a 2017/mid 2018 will happen. I don't actually believe a mid 2018 launch but I think it could work in their favour if they were to do it.

Also I don't see microsoft clinging to the Xbox One beyond 2017. They're smarter than that. Sony will milk PS4 into oblivion if their main priority is their finances.
