Though the feature in Splatoon doesn't seem like a minor like in WW. It seems more vital and could be a deciding factor in matches between winning or losing a match, since the screen makes it easy to jump to certain areas on the map. Wouldn't that seem a bit of a handicap if you couldn't do that with a pro controller?

Though if they can configure this feature to work on a standard controller, then more controller options should definitely be offered.

They don't need to. My point was that the feature wasn't important enough to force the gamepad. In WWHD, you could switch items on the gamepad while still using the Pro Controller. There's no reason this same idea can't be used here. Let players use the Pro Controller, and for the 5% of the time you need to use the touch screen it's still there.

So are you suggesting that you mainly use the pro controller and have the tablet on the side to use to warp around the stage? Hmm, I never considered that. Alright then, nevermind what I said. That seems like a good option for those who prefer different controllers.

It's probably apparent that I never played the Wii U version of WW...

I disagree with Spemanig on this, but i will say that this is how i played Pikmin 3: used the Wiimote but had the gamepad to map routes for the other explorers.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I love that they give you the option for Gyro controls or not, and I love that nearly everyone said they loved Gyro controls and it works very well. VERY excited for this game.

Well, having it as an side option is not a bad thing at least, haha.

Super stoked for this game! It had me hooked when it was first shown at E3 last year. Looks like a ton of fun.

Well, at least it's close, right?

I'm just honored that Nintendo respects my birth month enough to place some of their most hyped games in it (Mario Kart 8 last year, Splatoon this year). XC3D ain't half bad either, being the first N3DS exclusive and all.
