Have you found yourself hyped for Splatoon for the past year?

Nintendo has just released a Splatoon recap at this year's PAX East as one of its most anticipated IPs first introduced last year at E3. People are still having a blast with the same build as E3 2014.

Splatoon is up there with the games that prove to show so much potential this year (I'm also looking at you, Zelda U), even though it's a couple months shy of release.

Since E3 2014, we really haven't seen too much more of the multiplayer. We still don't know much about the game despite January's Direct. I'm wondering how much more Nintendo has actually added and if we'll be able to get our hands on a later build of the game.

Really great to hear good impressions! And to hear that people were in line for hours just to play it, that's just insane. Obviously there's interest surrounding it.

It`s good that people can still find enjoyment in this old build of the game. Makes me more excited for the final product : )

Can't wait to play this like cray cray

Thank goodness the motion controls are optional. More games should give you options.

My friend's PAX East Splatoon impression was that he wasn't allowed to wait in line for it because Nintendo's section was horribly organized. The game did sound pretty popular though.

Can't wait for the game... I just wish they realized that they need more than 1 online mode(in my opinion).

Was it ever confirmed that there's only one? I thought they said there was only 4v4 but can't there be multiple versions of that?

As far as i know, one of the directors said in a interview their will only be one mode... Due to concerns of lack of players(aka, gotta leave improvement for a sequel).

Hm. Well, even if there's only one mode, I'll still have fun with it. I mean, I only play one mode in MK8 and I love that. Plus Splatoon seems to have a decent focus on single player as well.

Yay, gyroscope is not mandatory!

Glad it has positive impressions (but Nintendo won't show negatives)

True. There could be a possibility that an online match requires 8 players and the type of match they play (turf war, free for all, etc) is chosen by random. Or the players get to choose which type of 4 v 4 mode they want to play similar to how players select which mario kart 8 course they want to play in a racing or battle mode.

The fact that it strictly requires 8 players to start irks me a little though.
