I'm sure it had a big budget, but probably not an unusually large budget.

How expensive is it to make a tech demo? If Ryse is profitable than surely The Order will be more profitable.

It was 5 years in development even for a smaller team like RaD thats expensive over that much time.

That doesn't mean it needs to sell a massive number to break even.

Alan Wake was developed for about 5 years as well and still became profitable over time.

I'd say its pretty successful in regards to sales because it will be profitable. Its just a failure in game design.

In what way?

At least it is only behind recent releases. So that means it is doing OK.

RaD is located in Irvine, California. While Remedy is located in Finland, thats a huge difference in wages that accumulate over 5 years.

Also I doubt The Order will sell 1.3M like Alan Wake.

I don't think The Order will sell 1.3 million either. It will sell more.

Inevitable bundle? Don't they have better games to bundle?

Assuming this site is correct The Order is already passing 600K. The only way its not gonna sell 700K more is if Sony simply doesn't make enough physical copies.

Lets not ignore digital copies either.

I'm more surprised that DBZ xenoverse has more rating than The Order especially when that game has a ps3 version.

Good point.  And every digital copy sold is worth more than every retail copy sold.
