With a new mythology it could be another char, just need to feel as great as Kratos was. Maybe even a decendent of his.

He was fun to play but his whole character relies on getting revenge, after he got it I just had no desire to play as him anymore.  I can't think of any character development past the background info we got on him in the whole trilogy.  He's the same person in GoW 3 that he was in GoW 1 just more powerful.

I didn't say the story was bad.  The story relies on the concept of revenge, after you get that revenge there's not much left there, that's why I don't wanna play Kratos anymore.

The name God of war made sense as Kratos had a blood tie with Ares, the God of war and eventually you took his place and then took the war to the gods of Olympus.

God of Wars tend to push the playstation like Uncharted does. They are about heavy action with dynamic cutscenes and immersive stories. No one knows the playstation platforms ins and outs  like Sony Santamonica and Naughty Dog so even when they push the games.

Now that hope was given back to the world lets see who Athena tries to throw at Kratos.
