When most other genres only cover about 5% of the total market (if that), then yeah, 15% is dominating. Open world games are getting a resurgence of sorts recently, so I think that will definitely become more of the trend as time goes on.

What is the point of this thread? IMHO it seems like you want people to say yes, but anyone with a shred of common sense no the answer is no and you dont want me to bring in numbers which is the only true thing really to prove that Splatoon wont bring in COD players? ill go a step further and say Areym is wrong and there is no hope for the question. the VAST majortiy wont even know this game EXISTS, you are comparing it too COD which gets insane marketing every year for almost the past decade it is a culturally thing at this point. Compare it too a game that is exclusive barely being advertised or hyped by even the biggest of game fans on a system that Ninty's worse least popular home console? Nope

im just asking questions. You kind of are comparing the two though by asking if COD players will go to splatoon how can one proper answer that question without doing some kind of basic comparison? Im not understanding your meaning on your 2nd point, if we accept that the game wont evne get recognized then havent we answered the question? Unless you mean if COD players do find out about it will they then go play Splatoon? Cause i still think it will be no

Well if you read the OP, "but do you think the satisfaction of killing/shooting someone and see those inklings explode pull in some if not all CoD players or people who love shooters in general?" I did gave a little example.

But whatever man, I don't want this to drag for far too long anymore.

If it is marketed correctly, it could sell a lot. But I do not think that it will be a game that appeals to CoD players.

As for the topic, i highly doubt the average COD fanatic will really care for this game. But never say never as im sure someone will.
