I saw little interest for this game from day 1, even from hardcore Nintendo fans. numbers arent surprising. IMHO they need to drop this yarn thing and go back to basics

Yarn? This isnt Yarn but Clay. Also Yoshi is Yarn, i see no problems there! (also Yarn Sellls!)

Basics? They went back to the basics already.... (after Kirby Epic Yarn) Twice, excluding A spin off (Mass Attack) and an anniversary game (Kirby Dream Collection)

whoops, you're right but i digress i think they need to go back to a classical style, I mean on consoles. (no im not talking a collection of old games, im thinking almost like a DKC returns but for Kirby)

Not surprised at all. Game looks like a ~15€ eshop game, so I don't see why they would sell it for 40$.
Reviews were really mediocre as well.
I doubt it cost them much to produce it though, so it didn't really 'flop'.

If you're interested in Nintendo content and understand german, maybe you want to take a look at my youtube channel! :)

I didn't even know it was releasing in the US... Were there any commercials/communication around it?

Last gen they released an unconventional Kirby (Epic Yarn) and a traditional one (Return to Dreamland) on the Wii, so I assume they'll do the same thing with the Wii U.

That's too bad as the game was only $39.99 and is pretty good, especially if you enjoyed Canvas Curse on the DS. I've been a fan of the Kirby series since his debut on the Gameboy and it's saddens me that he doesn't get more love nowadays.

15€? Really? Have you seen that graphics? have you heard that music? That´s not from an 15€ game.

Mediocre reviews? the 80% of the reviews are equal or above +80 on metacritic, and overall it has a very decent 76, for a budget game that´s pretty fine, just 4 points beyond Captain Toad. And it´s above the reviews of almost every triple AAA game this days (The order: 65 - Dying Light:73 - RE: Revelations 2: 74 - Kirby: 76)

I think it'll probably pull people through if they've already played Triple Deluxe, or want a home-console traditional kirby game.
