I think I'd be okay with this if they also let you have the option to buy either for like $5 instead of having to buy the Amiibo.

I've been saying it for a while, Amiibo integration in Splatoon not only make massive sense, but could be a HUGE platform for Amiibo. Allowing people to scan in a Toon Link Amiibo that give you ink grenades that blow up into windwaker smoke, or a Peach Amiibo that gives you a crown and her gloves. Scan in Kirby and get an outfit that lets you absorb more ink or a Kirby hat. Plunk down your Ness Amiibo and get a Homerun bat style wep and a blue and yellow striped shit. A Luigi Amiibo that gives you a wep like his poltergust that sucks up enemy ink or something. The possibilities are endless and honestly would give me another reason to collect Amiibo. I would want all of them, not just my favorite characters because for once they would really do something meaningful in a game that already looks like a total blast.

Aren't they called Inklings?
