I think we already had a thread like this.
Nonetheless, this still looks badass.

Not much of a difference in the battles, minor difference in grid. Textures are too low res for resolution to matter, I think. Right click + open for full size.

Not all resolutions gap are created equal.
The gap from the DS's miniscule 256x192 to 1024x768 is understandably massive.
The gap from 720p to 1080p, on the other hand, not really significant in my opinion.

I agree. Just want to note the games are rendered at 1024 * 768 though. 1080p would be pretty nice. Get rid of the few remaining jaggies! :) Too bad they only let me run 4x at most.

Ah, I stand corrected.
One thing that surprises me about Nintendo handhelds (as I only found out recently) is their tiny resolution; just 240x160 for GBA, 256x192 for DS, 400x240 for 3DS.

Yeah, Nintendo has no excuse next generation. High res touch screens are cheap, and so is the hardware that would take advantage of them. Still a 3DS has about 1.5 times the PPI of a standard computer monitor, so its not a massive deal. I can't wait to see a 3DS emulator though, so that we can have a fair graphics comparison with the other 6th generation level hardware + Wii. Plus it would be nice to play some 3DS games on a big screen television at 1080p. :)

Brb, making a thread about this! XD
I reckon 3DS games like Revelations or Nano Assault would hold up well against the original Xbox if not for the resolution cap.
