It's hard to respect an opinion that's uninformed, as someone else has already told you. If you actually played the Metroid series and legitimately felt Resistance was the better series, I think a lot of these people responding to you would back off.

From 2002-2010 you had 7 metroid games.

From 1986-1994 you had three.

There are three handheld games in the series, one is a remake.

That leaves 4 "Playable" games for you. Three of them are masterpieces, two of them are GOAT material. <-This is objective.

How many resistance games are there?

How many of them on handhelds? And yes they may be masterpieces but they are not for me. Again I'd cchose for the years of online gaming it gave me with my mates. That's my cup of tea.

The kind of people who describe Other M as shit are probably the same people who would describe The Order as shit. The two games actually have a lot in common; cinematic storytelling and graphics are given top priority, there are long sequences where you walk from A to B or stop to examine something, and both recieved a lot of criticism for this.

Because it wasn't good as a metroid game, not as a game in general. Had the game not been a metroid game, it would have been lvoed by critics. Just goes to show how good the rest of them are.

Sounds like other m is the only one I'd actually even consider playing then. But it has no online so I'd definitely still have picked resistance over it. That was one of my favourite online games ever.
