Resistance 83 16.31%

I can't believe this thread is still going.

I should do a thread about something nonsensical and controversial like this and rack up dem points.

I'm not actually 25.  Dunno why vgchartz has that for me.

My first games were spyro,  crash bandicoot and metal Gear solid.  I didn't play any others before ps2. And I'd only replay them for nostalgia reasons.  I literally wouldn't touch 99% of games pre ps2 with a barge pole.  Handheld gaming is not for me.  So this series imo is lesser than Resistance which I really enjoyed. I don't expect to sway others into the same opinion.  But I'm not a sheep and I'll not follow the crowd for the sake of it.

How does trying out new things classify as being a "sheep"

No going with everyone else's answer when it's not my answer would be a sheep.

Nintenedo fans >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> PlayStation fans in numbers

Not true; if Nintendo fans do have the numerical advantage, it's certainly not an large one. VGChartz has always had a high proportion of Sony supporters. Xbox is the only one that's really outnumbered.

Nope, Sony community seems to be declining VGC, and everything from poll results to the amount of posters who are Nintendo supporters suggests that they DO grossly outnumber us. Of course, Xbox is even more niche on VGC. Its like Nintendo fans >>>>>>>>>>>>> PlayStation + Xbox fans.

Relative to sales, its very apparent that its Nintendo fans who are present at a high proportion on VGC. No wonder its hard to mention any of my favourite game without it getting a shitton of criticism from people who haven't played it.

Ahem.

No offense, but it seems to me that the reason you think Nintendo fans massively outnumber Sony fans is because, well, you're a Sony fan, so you wish your "side" had more supporters and less detractors.

That's not true at all.  Even if Nintendo fans now outnumber the Playstation fans on VGC, it is MUCH closer than you're making it out to be.  I think one thing you're confused about is that many Nintendo and Playstation fans here ALSO play the other console (I primarily play on Nintendo, but I also own Sony.  The other way around happens a lot too).

edit: I mean I also own a Sony console, not that I own Sony.  I have a PS2 and a PS Vita.

Apart from spyro,  crash bandicoot, metal Gear solid and hogs of war I don't play any games from the ps1 gen or earlier. It's not narrow minded because I don't enjoy such basic games. It's narrow minded of people to expect me to like things that don't appeal to me.

Alright, well how does 3 games classify as "most" metroid games?

So you're saying most of the series is on wii or Gamecube.  And one of the Wii games was shit.

It's funny considering Metroid Prime 1 and 2 look far better than anything on the PS2 (which he still plays apparently).

Time to sleep for me now.

So the best the series has to offer is a wii version in terms of graphics and one of them has a 6.6 user score.

Are you really going to make that argument now?

http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-3/resistance-2

6.0 user score

http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-vita/resistance-burning-skies

6.8 user score

Have you played it? Or just looking at metacritic? Didn't you like The Order saying metacritic was wrong? You can't have it both ways.

Metroid: Other M and The Order have a lot in common actually. They both put cinematics over gameplay.

From 2002-2010 you had 7 metroid games.

From 1986-1994 you had three.

There are three handheld games in the series, one is a remake.

That leaves 4 "Playable" games for you. Three of them are masterpieces, two of them are GOAT material. <-This is objective.

How many resistance games are there?
