Not sure what the point of this is.

Because gay rights activists and other LGBT activists are only comfortable debatting the issue under a political or legal framework. In these spheres they are seemingly impervious to criticism. It becomes sacrosanct.

Because debating it under a religious framework is pointless, it's quite obvious from the Vatican's statements, the Old and New Testament, and the Quran, where they stand on it.  Fortunately, religious stupidity has no place in secular dialogue.  And laws that give certain citizens more rights and responsibilities than others, are unlawful (as we're finding out in the US).  It probably wouldn't be such a huge deal, IF the US didn't have something like 1100+ rights and responsibilities built into law, that LBGT haven't been entitled to, due to illegal religious influence in the US Government.  That in and of itself is basically illegal, especially if religious organizations are intent on laying claim to the word marriage.  The lawful thing to do would be to nullify the connection between the State, the IRS, healthcare etc... and marriage.

Of course, we're also concerned with the opinions of people who loyally follow organizations such as the Vatican, who've been aiding and abetting child molesters for decades, covering it up, and threatening ex-communication on anyone who breaks silence, yes, these are the folks we should be taking moral advice from, and looking up to.

You're free to criticize, and in fact, nobody's stopping anyone from doing that.  But, your right to criticize has absolutely no bearing on an individuals right to being treated equally.  It's not that they're impervious to criticism, it's that the current bigoted criticism is easily ignored.

Can you fathom at all why people don't share your so called "pride"?

It shouldn't even be a controversy. Marriage isn't a civil right at all. Its historical roots reveal why it's ipso facto exclusivist. Nothing wrong with that because it's not a right which should be afforded to everyone under the color of law. You have your basic human rights as well as your right to be free from discriminaton in the workforce among other places.

Why have you posted that as though it's a fact? If I've interpreted it wrong, then sorry, but Meta Physics is a strange branch of Science (some would say it isn't science) grounded almost completely in theory.

Wrong.  But, it pleases me to know you're having a complex over this.  It pleases me greatly.

all i see is this...

It's not the topic at hand, but what about people like me, who don't believe in Hell, nor reincarnation? There's not much point discussing it since they seem to be the pillar of what you're talking about.

So you have just chosen what is a civil right and what isn't? Where did you find those? Ingrained into the earth? Rights are an entirely human concept born from laws through successive civilisations.
