Forums - Gaming - Halo MCC possibly announced for PC?

I'm still not convinced, but megaton if true.

Really? Seems more like a logical move. MCC is not important to Xb one sales strategy, or at least it was only important for Holiday 2014. All of the titles are 6th and 7th gen, and MS is pretty disinterested in pushing 7th gen hardware in any substantial way. But putting MCC on PC raises the prospect of currently PC only gamers buying Xb one for H5, and potentially also PC/PS4 gamers too. And of course they will sell much more of MCC than if they keep it to Xb one only. I for one might actually get MCC if/when I get a Windows 10 PC. I mean why wouldn't I? I am not into FPS or multiplayer at all, but I am curious to see what all fuss is about the Halo universe. Just not curious enough to actually buy an Xb one. And my boys like FPS.

You didn't notice this in December, I don;t think MCC goes to PC.

Please do it! I want to play Halo on PC T_T

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

This confirms nothing. But Microsoft might do it for Windows 10. I left PC gaming a few years ago. Playing AAA exclusives were main reason. Bur if trends like these keep happening + Japanese games in PC then I think its time to get a gaming PC.

I'm not really sure it's that big of a deal, I'd say probably 99% of Halo fans prefer console and have either already gotten it, or will at some point in the future on X1.

Plus that was posted months ago.
If Halo 5 comes to PC in year one then there's a problem, but more games to PC, why not.

@ bolded, yes you do Slade.

No I really don't...

Games are how old? If people weren't going to buy an Xbox One for MCC then they never were at this point. It's not like Halo 5 is coming to PC.

Plus this was pretty much expected for a long time now. They've stated their initiative for more games coming to PC.

But steam has 125 million active users.  Think of all the sales.

Imagine the amount of activity on social media this would get. Even more so; provided if this is true and functions properly day one, I wonder how the Xbox One community would take it.

Look at the PC sales for the 2 Halo titles that came out.  I really don't think it's that big of a deal.  This is not a statement about Halo the game, or PC users or whatever, just doesn't seem like the PC crowd has ever cared for Halo much (Based upon admittedly personal, anecdotal experience among my PC friends, and VGChartz numbers).

It will move 'some' amount of units, but I don't expect it to be very significant.

EDIT: I'll say this though, give it local server options, and maybe even allow them access to map making/mod tools (or at least allow them to be made and implemented), and that could change entirely.  But, it'd have to be a pretty significant and deep level of access to go up against the current powerhouses of modding heaven on offer.  Then again, the capacity to make your own maps, mods and host your own servers/rent them, could potentially get the Halo faithful to also pick up PC en-masse, for the pleasure of tinkering around with one of their favorite franchises...  doubtful to happen, but it'd definitely bump sales.
