Because I'm one of Nintendo's many little bitches and I get excited for almost anything they do. I don't have any other "next gen" consoles, though. I was going to buy an Xbox One for Halo, but after all the issues it's been having, I decided against it. It was a tough decision.

It's funny because the WiiU is the only console I didn't buy for any game in particular! Also, I don't own a PS4 or XB1... yet!

For both but more for multiplatform since I dont care about pc gaming

i bought a PS4 because of Sonys exclusives (plural), i just like a lot of their exclusive franchises, both the western exclusives like Uncharted, TLOU, GOW and their japanese exclusives like the Soul games, the Tales of games, the Neptunia games, the Persona games, Guilty Gear etc.

i pre-ordered the PS4 and got it on launch and i had no game that was a must own, but i knew it will get them and it did with Bloodborne being the first one, just look at my profile... im a huge Demons Souls fan so Bloodborne (that appears to also be linked to DeS somehow), is the biggest MUST OWN game for me of this gen from all three consoles.

outside from that Uncharted 4 is another must own game, naughty dog have not dissapointed me before and from what i saw on the U4 demo, i HIGHLY DOUBT they will start now...

I tend to buy consoles which gas a variety if games which I want to play, but if I had to choose I guess exclusives sway me to which console I should buy.

Definitely exclusives. I'd say the primary reason for me getting a Wii U was for Zelda in general, but it's not the only reason.

For all Nintendo-consoles since N64 it has been the Zelda-games. For PS3 it was Arkham Asylum that broke me, PS4 was AC Unity(please don't judge me)

X360- FFXI (so I could play 2 accounts at once, Halo 3 turned out to be a major bonus)
DSLite- Pokemon crystal.
