Especially when it isn't a game that benefits in sales because it will have better graphics. DQIX is the best selling DQ game. Square-Enix would be totally stupid to exclusively release the game on PS4. Not that they aren't one of the stupidest companies in the industry today, but not even they are that dumb. 

With 0 evidence that DQ XI is even a thing (for the near future) and plenty of evidence to support a multiplatform/nintendo exclusivity release, that's expected.

DQ heroes is a mere dinasty warriors spin off. If anything, it proves square doesn't want to make an exclusive full fledged DQ for playstation, only a spin off.

I think a multiplatform release on Wii U and 3ds would limit the game. The series is in need of a true high polygon and HD game. Wii U exclusive or multiplatform Wii U and Ps4 makes more sense. It would also be a lot cheaper than downgrade it to 3ds.

No it's not. The top selling Dragon Quest is DQIX. From SE's perspective, as a profit seeking business, it would make most sense to choose to develop for the platform with the lowest development costs and the most reward. That is the 3DS. A Wii U or PS4 port would just be icing on the cake. Wii U is more likely, because NIntendo publishes DQ games in the West if they're exclusives. Meaning SE saves publishing costs in the West as well. A PS4 game would have ten times the budget and probably half the sales as a 3DS release. A Wii U game probably something like five times the cost and a quarter of the sales. 

I see the 3DS game having DQVIII level graphics, which Japanese gamers are plenty happy with.

Because they want it on home console, they made it clear, they want it more ambitious , including visually( equal to dragon quest heroes cinematics), and they want to bring dragon quest to the west like they said earlier, so ps4 is the only choice among japanese consoles to do that, and the most important, horii Saïd :

And again, your quote says nothing of the platform the game will be on. In the context of your quote he was specifically asked about DQ11. Remember, in Japan, DQ Heroes is releasing on the PS3 as well. Most Japanese gamers who own a PS3 likely also own a 3DS. Again, you are the one making faulty conclusions based on speculation and then get all excited when nobody buys your claims as prophecy.
