you should try those, those are genre defining games!

If Xbox and Nintendo consoles magically landed in my lap, I would try Gears of War and Metroid, repectively. I don't care for Zelda (After i found out A link to the Past and all zelda games weren't RPGs) and I'm not big on Racing games (fan of battle-style like Mario Kart or MotorStorm)

I've only played Ocarina of Time but I disagree with anyone claiming they aren't RPGs. Felt very much like an RPG to me.

I mean, in a sense, they are RPGs. However (as I suspect you already figured out) I mean RPG in a more traditional way. Kill enemies, level up, gain new powers, maybe some party members and so on. I have nothing bad to say about the Zelda series, aside from it's confusing storyline, it was just the kind of bad initial impression that put me off. That and I don't own many Nintendo consoles to play Zelda games on.

Metroid and Starfox though Starfox U might be the first and Metroid U if they release it on Wii U.

Nintendo Switch FC: SW-6340-7643-4233 aka Renji

Steam: Lee Roid

Persona/Shin Megami Tensei
Mario & Luigi Saga's
Kingdom Hearts
Golden Sun

List more when I think of more.

Pokemon (At least not the mainline ones)
Forza (I can't stand sim racers)
Gran Turismo (Same as above)

Uncharted (Same as above)
Gears of War (Same as above)
Resident Evil (Same as above)
Tomb Raider (Same as above)
Max Payne (Same as above)
Metal Gear Solid (Boring)
Assassin's Creed (No interest yet)
Batman Arkham (No interest yet)
Dead Rising (Repetitive zombie game)
Dead Island (Same as above)
Left 4 Dead (Same as above)
God of War (I want to get to it eventually)
The Elder Scrolls (No interest)
Dark Souls (Never like any of From Software's games)
Street Fighter (Don't care for fighters)
Tekken (Same as above)
Mortal Kombat (Same as above)
Donkey kong (Don't care for many platformers)
*Insert every sports game franchise*

Gran Turismo, God of War, and Dragon Warrior / Quest are probably the biggest series I never actually played any games from.

There's been several other popular series I never got around to like Spyro, Jak & Daxter, and Devil May Cry among many others.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Fire Emblem (I honestly think it looks boring but I want to at least try Awakening)
GTA (Not my type of game but I'm open to trying it)
Paper Mario (idk why, just never got around to it)
Uncharted (Never owned a PS3 so I didn't have the chance)
Little Big Planet (For the same reason as Uncharted btw those sack puppets are creepy af)

Mario - but the thing Is, i have played them, and doing so put me off playing any more, so I avoid them like the plauge.

CoD and GTA are the big ones.
