Not if you are a a Nintendo fan!

| McDonaldsGuy said: It surprises me how popular the Xbox One and PS4 are considering that there aren't many great games on the system. Bloodborne looks to be a saving grace but that's not enough. This gen can be summed up as: - Broken games (Halo: MCC, Assassin's Creed, The Crew, Driveclub). Ridiculous. No excuses for all this crap! - EXTREMELY underwhelming overhyped games (Watch Dogs, Destiny, COD: AW). Destiny, Watch Dogs, etc. etc. should've been mega hits but instead they are some of the best 7/10 games around - Too many dang remasters. Enough! It works OK for something like Halo because a) the games are old b) It's like Mario All-Stars but we don't need every flippin game remastered! The Last of Us should've just been a PS4 only title anyway. There are more remasters than actual new installments of franchises - Nintendo has been a huge disappointment. We finally get an HD Nintendo console and what do they do? Give us a 3DS sequel (3D World), and give us another weird looking Zelda game instead of a cool ass looking Zelda game like the E3 2011 demo. - Games that had a lot of potential but just seem incomplete. On one spectrum you have The Order, which is single player only but only has 5-8 hours of gameplay (u wot m8?), and on the other side of the spectrum you have Titanfall which is multiplayer only but very barebones (only a few game modes and such) - No backward compatibility. Instead they want to resale us the older games or get their cloud service instead. Lame! I want to get rid of my PS3 but can't. - ADDED: Almost all publishers are dead as well. No more THQ, Eidos, etc. etc. There seems to be only 5 publishers publishing games every year. Even Konami, Capcom, Namco, Japanese Square Enix, are no shows. Anyone else agree? There are no differences between the PS4 and Xbox One now. Even Sony is charging for online. |
Well, someone doesn't own a Wii U. Help yourself out and get one. You will then realize that this gen has been far from sucking so far. Sure there are less games on it, but the ones that are there are really high quality and keep you coming back for more, plus it's the only one out of the three that is still trying new ideas, not just with the system, but also with games.
Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.
Are you kidding? Super Mario 3D World was the best Mario game since Super Mario World, Zelda U is possible the best looking Zelda since Wind-Waker, Bayonetta 2 was a superior sequel to one of the best games of last generations best games, we FINALLY got a new Pikmin game, Mario Kart and Smash Bros are both even better than last generation, Xenoblade Chronicles X looks even more amazing than the first one, Splatoon and Code-Name S.T.E.A.M. both look to be epic new franchises in the industries great IP selection for any one company, we're finally getting a new Star-Fox, Fatal Frame is basically confirmed for America, Link Between World's is incredible, Monster Hunter 4 is epic, Pokemon X & Y were inspiring evolution for the series, and Fire-Emblem is not only remaining awesome but is finally getting credit for it.
Hell, even Dragon Age: Inquisition was pretty good; I mean it was no Dragon Age: Origins, but it was still really good.
Then get a Wii U! Nothing is disappointing there except for the game drought in 2013
XBOX ONE/Wii U/3DS/PC

Thanks for all the great memories!

Got all 3 and wiiu has been my biggest dissapointment.
This is an unpopular opinion, but I didn`t understand for awhile why the PS4 sold as well as it did. IMO it didn`t have that great of a launch line up, it didn`t do anything that was special, and the games available so far honestly don`t seem that great. Even now, I don`t think PS4 is living up to the claims it made. Sure, it will in time, but I haven`t been seeing it. And the XBox1, what more can be said? They stabbed themselves in the foot with their "All in One" focus, forcing the kinect, and having DRM in their plans. They stained themselves and it`s been hard for them to get it off, and on top of that, they don`t have the best 1st party IPs.
Wii U so far hasn`t disappointed me. It does the one thing I enjoy best, make fun games. And the games coming this year are just going to make it better ; )

Really.. to me there is nothing really special about this gen. All the systems are just an upgrade of hardware compared to the last and doesn't really offer anything new to gaming. Nintendo... kind of did it with the gamepad and such but they haven't really been able to do much with the gamepad themselves to make it is awesome thing and something to wow us. I just find myself using more the Pro controller than the gamepad because I find it doesn't really offer anything except for convience. Some games though are an exception but most... nothing really special.
"Nintendo has been a huge disappointment"

Sorry, I can't hear you over all this awesome.

Another weird zelda game LOL, sorry I don't want to be mean, but if you play video games, you should expand your artistic horizons. Otherwise you're not going to appreciate a lot of "weird" masterpieces out there. And yes, I am a zelda fangirl :)
