Forums - Gaming - GoW 4 VS The Order 86: who will sell more WW?

Who will sell more?

Gears of war 4 80 62.99%

The Order 1886 45 35.43%

Total:125

The Order would be doing surprisingly well to sell 3 million. Gears 4 would be doing surprisingly badly if it sold 3 million. Despite the fact that Gears Judgement did terribly, for a Gears game, Gears 4 only needs to have Nexgen gfx and be somewhat of a step up from Judgement in other areas for it to get that core fanbase back on board. It is a fundamentally sound franchise with 3 well received games.

Assuming (with fingers crossed) The Order is actually a very good game a Gears 5 / The Order 2 showdown could be interesting.

No, the men in Gears are the ones with the muscles

But you can be whoever you wanna be.....just not here, cus you'll be permabanned

Oh and just to be clear, if The Order's sequel gets a different name than 87, or isn't deemed worthy of getting a franchise continuation, you still lose

What? No.. It'll probably have a different name because it won't take place in 1887. I just called it that because The Order 2 sounds weirder. The name is not a part of the bet.

And it'll most definitely have a sequel so no worries there ^^

Smart money would say Gears. MS would have to really botch up on the marketing, dev or something major.

Gears comes out in 2016 tentatively, right? Hard for me to say, but brand alone makes it the safe bet.

Only chance I give The Order is if it becomes bundled.

Just had to throw it out there so there's no wiggling out on a technicality

Gears is not even annouced, The Order is not even released yet.

I'd like to be wrong, but space marines seems to be a pretty safe bet, a lot of people love that theme for a game...

Instead of asking for that kind of bet, you should try to understand the merits of each game, once it's available obviously... Usually Gears is stacked against Uncharted, but The Order is a TPS as well, so I guess it could be this too...  Wait, did you pick the Order because it seems to be the in thing to spread "concerns" about it?

Kind of a weird question. Gears is gonna walk circles around The Order, saleswise (most likely quality wise as well).

What do you mean?

Gears without a doubt in my mind even though when it's own time comes it'll be the opposite game to hate and slander down because nerd wars =P.
