Microsoft will spend 10x the amount to market GOW than the Order, if it doesn't sell 2x as much it probably wasn't worth the investment.

Sony has such a diversity that I don't think they consider The Order as one of their pillars this year. GoW is definitely one of Microsoft's pillars. Also the fact that we have to resort to an established series versus a non-established series that's been critically panned before release is peculiar. Still GoW decline in popularity will be significant. When is GoW4 release date?

Gears of course! Not fair to compare an established series versus a brand new IP. However, I understand they have similarities in gameplay. Still Gears by a country mile.

Gears should do win it easily. It's an established franchise and Microsoft's second most important IP.

of course GoW 4, this shouldnt even be up for debate...

GoW is an already stablished franchise with a huge following and a lot of sales for past games, and The Order 1886 is a new IP that has gotten a lot of flak.

We can all agree that sales doesn't prove which games are good or not. GOW have earned it's place, and i am sure since there is a lot of things around the Order and sequals, and how they are planning on expanding it. there is no doubt that the game will be good. sometimes the first game is mediocre compared to the sequal versions, i think a lot of games can prove that as well. Third one always seem to fail the expectations and the fourth one might be the savior. I am just GLAD WE ARE GETTING NEW IP*S AND POTENTIAL FRANCHISES.. cause i don't want the same games from the early last gen to still be around when this gen ends.

When I saw GoW4, I thought God of War 4. Got that mixed up. I'd still say GoW4 since it's an established franchise vs something new like the Order, and it had its mixed reactions. Though if it was God of War 4, I'd more more confident in saying GoW4. Boy, that sounded confusing.

You know, there was also once a time where people thought it was a foregone conclusion that Gears would sell more than Uncharted and anyone thinking otherwise was foolish. Yet as the franchises moved forward Gears sales went down per entry while Uncharted went up.

OMG guys can we pick which games we are comparing. Some of you are talking about Sony's GoW and others are talking Microsoft's Gears, at least all of you are talking The Order =P
