Wow, a 9 from IGN. Unexpected.
There is really nothing quite like the game when it's clicking on all cylinders. I have been to three different retailers that sell games since Tuesday and all three were completely sold out of the game. Anecdotal, but it seems the game might easily reach that 1.5 million we figured it would need in another thread to be a success.

There is nothing unlockable to buy...that's just not true oO everything you can unlock within the game can't be bought. And the things in the store so far are only some weapon skins and monster skins. So...yeah...^^

Hype =/= defense. Look at any thread calling out how this game has an absurb amount of DLC day 1 that could easily have been in the game, or how the monsters are $15, etc. Then look who's defending it. I doubt it's a coincidence that you find, mostly, only users with Xbox preference defending it, telling people "it's not what you think", and that everyone should turn a blind eye to it.

I'm not creating anything. I'm noticing a pattern and shedding light on it. Remember, the original post I replied to was to the tune of "why are you trying so hard to get people to like this game". I gave a viable reason, and it got twisted into "console wars". Just because not "all Xbox gamers" care about this game doesn't negate the fact that the people who are defending this game are Xbox gamers, for the most part. We have biases towards games our console of choice are promoting. I showed it with Destiny (which LS thought I fabricated, same as you think I'm fabricating stuff now), if I go back far enough, I'm sure the same thing happened with Watch_Dogs (for PS) initially, and I know it happened with say...FFXIII (for PS) or GTAIV (for Xbox), last gen. It's the same mentality for why people hype exclusives: if it can make your console shine the most, you want it to be as well received as possible. What's so hard to understand about that? It's not hate. It's not aggression. It's an observation of facts.

Meta going down. 80 on ps4, 77 on X1
this needs to be under 70 in my opinion, but knowing how review work, in that only people looking foward to the game will review it and thus go in already liking it. Its going to be a lot higher than it deserves. This is why most dont take reviews seriously and critizies a 80 on metacritic by saying is verage, hopefully it will be under 80.
It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

Oh ok, I was under the impression that it was otherwise, sometimes its hard to differentiate between propganda and facts on the internet :P
It's $61 or so worth of cosmetic skins. IIRC Call of Duty and even Last of Us among others have the same type of stuff outside of their season passes.

That's true. To be honest: I'm quite a fan of Evolve so far. I enjoyed the beta and the game so far is really quite a lot of fun. And since I'm such a "fan" I was informed about a lot of things. And I can tell you that much: there's quite a lot of half-truths floating around even being mindlessly repeated by games media. Of course 2K messed up with that whole aggressive DLC bullshit marketing.
The funny thing for me: Borderlands 2 had also a pretty messed up DLC policy, giving out Gaige for pre-orderers and having also a lot of cosmetic stuff for quite a lot of money. But I don't remember anyone being so mad about it back then. Evolve is not better nor worse than other games (that free-maps practice is pretty nice though) but people are acting as if it was the antichrist of gaming xD Tons of games did the same thing before, some even worse but yeah, lets burn Evolve for that!^^

Added some more scores, but linked up all the Metacritic links and won't be adding any more scores, there are over 75 of them. Weird how this game has such a balance in the reviews given, usually it's all PS4 and Xbone/PC sometimes struggle to even get enough specific reviews posted to even count on Metacritic. But Evolve is 30 PS4, 26 PC, 20 Xbone.
Hit 33 hours so far, just unlocked my first elite skin for mastering Caira. Wanna try support next.
