That's true. To be honest: I'm quite a fan of Evolve so far. I enjoyed the beta and the game so far is really quite a lot of fun. And since I'm such a "fan" I was informed about a lot of things. And I can tell you that much: there's quite a lot of half-truths floating around even being mindlessly repeated by games media. Of course 2K messed up with that whole aggressive DLC bullshit marketing. 

The funny thing for me: Borderlands 2 had also a pretty messed up DLC policy, giving out Gaige for pre-orderers and having also a lot of cosmetic stuff for quite a lot of money. But I don't remember anyone being so mad about it back then. Evolve is not better nor worse than other games (that free-maps practice is pretty nice though) but people are acting as if it was the antichrist of gaming xD Tons of games did the same thing before, some even worse but yeah, lets burn Evolve for that!^^
