Forums - Gaming - Team Ninja is upset at naughty PC modders

 http://www.vg247.com/2015/02/06/team-ninja-wont-make-any-more-pc-games-if-modders-are-naughty/

In other words, Team Ninja is upset at PC modders because sales for their bikini DLCs are dropping due to all those naughty PC mods. It has nothing to do with Team Ninja wanting PC gamers to play the game in a "good moral and manner" and other BS like that.

I wouldn´t say it´s only about possible dlc revenue. As one of the commenters said the display of genitalia in media is not allowed in japan as far as i know. So technically a nude mod could get them in trouble. Or it could be all about that dlc....
However they could simply go "no modding allowed" and be done with it.

Yup...RO friggin rocked

I guess somebody's got to post this...

I seriously hate Team Ninja with a passion. They are the definition of a greedy content-creator. Considering they haven't been relevant since DOA 3, no one will pay any attention to this, just like they haven't paid any attention to their other games. Sure, Ninja Gaiden was a mild distraction, but they really are the kings of mediocrity and hypocrisy.

Such is the magic of PC.

it applies to manga and anime.

Pretty simple, if you mod the game to use the DLC costumes it is effectively piracy, so no more games. Morals are very much a part of this.

Effectively and literally are two differnt things. If someone is smart enough and talented enough to make mods, there is nothing illegal about it even if said mod is a replica of offical DLC. They don't like that, they can just stop making PC games.

Yeah right. You want to milk the customers and if people step in and prevent that from happening its the users fault.

Seriously I bought DOA5 on PS3 and 360 (worse game than DOA4...)
I will buy it on PC again.
And neither on console nor on PC will I ever buy any DLC costumes EVER.
Its not even needed since the preorder costumes are more than enough.

Price DLC in a good and moral manner (e.g whole game including sound/engine/animations/stages/characters/costumes/netcode costs 40 bucks. Then a cosmetic costume set can only cost 50 cents NOT more than a dollar. Its simply not 1/40th of the original games content so it cannot cost 1/40th) then you dont have to tell your customers to play in a good and moral manner.

I dont know where you got this idea. The problem is that they can't compete with nudity patches.

Then dont release it for pc
