This is so insulting. I hate Melee fans, they always want Melee! Have you never heard of respect for other games, especially the new ones in the series?

Melee hasn't aged well at all in my opinion. It's hard to enjoy it when you can play Smash Bros. 4, which is way superior in my opinion. I don't understand why people are so obsessed with it.

melee=everything

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Melee is more competetively viable. You don't jump from a highly competetive game to a less competetive one.
This issue could have been avoided if Smash 4's top 8 took place at the same time as Melee's top 8. The whole tournament was way behind schedule and people were forced to watch a game that they had no interest in hours after the event was supposed to end. People were beyond frustrated.
While it goes without saying that disrespecting the players should be condemned at all times, the tournament organizers brought this upon themselves. Smash 4 does not have the same wide appeal that Melee has as a spectator sport and did not deserve the spotlight that it received, all things considered. The secondary stream/second half of the stage was not used because they wanted to force the massive Melee crowd to watch the game, and in turn they got what they had coming.

Thats not exactly what I meant. Melee is obviously more competetive, but that's not an excuse to hate all other installments as they have their advantages as well.
EDIT: Also, the SSB4 is better part is my opinion. I understand that alot of people think otherwise as I'm not really interested in competetive battles.

I am sure they are not hating on the other games as games. Just when the tournement for the competetive game that you don't care about is running far over time and yours has not started yet.
Sadly this happens with fighting games when new scenes emerge, it'll contain itself in years to come but because Smash despite being a long standing community is relatively new to the FGC being acknowledged only in recent years before that it was a large underground style community. What's happening between Melee and Smash 4 is what happened between Third Strike and SFIV, different approaches that people prefer.
The only difference is that SF has been part of the competitive scene for a while and the series has focused on it so the fans are used to the change of styles, Smash as a series has only started to focus on it in Smash IV so anything that doesn't resemble the face of the Smash community (Melee) divides the community. This is driven even more by the fact that with each new style and approach some fan favourite players can't make the transition to the newer game so they die by the older game.
I watched Apex, the difference between the two games is exactly like that between TS and SFIV with the newer game still being figured out but Smash 4 had some tense matches throughout sacrificing the speed of Melee for more diverse match ups. Just watch the Olimar player for a start, over time I feel SSB4 will be the better game much like SFIV went on to become.

Doesn't matter. No matter what the conditions, you don't act like that much of an ass.
I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.
