So, it's over 10 hours. I don't see the problem there.

Super Mario World can be beaten in under 20 minutes (not including the credits warp), hell, you can beat Demon Souls in under an hour, if you know what you're doing. Never understood looking at a game this way. But to each their own I guess.

Thats not really a good comparison. Both of those games are completed quickly by skipping a lot of content, while The Order is a hyper linear experience, and you really can't skip past chunks of the game.

This game duration debate is simply becoming too disguisting. If the only metric of game's quality is its length, than we are in serious trouble.

I wonder when this kind of mentality will move over to the movies. "So, a 85 minute movie. It must suck. I will pay $15 for a theater ticket only if the movie is over 125 minutes long!"
"And the Oscar goes to.... Random movie Z - it is 3 hours and 22 minutes long, the longest this year!"

Obviously that isn't the only metric, but a game needs to justify its price, and having 4ish hours of gameplay really doesn't justify a 60$ price tag. That on top of all of the problems that a lot of people already have with the game makes it quite easy to find fault

Saw a youtuber let's played it in under 6 hours, no rushing. 1.5-2 hours cut scenes

Pretty weak for a single player only game

The Order 1886: Early User Reports Over 12 Hours of Gameplay;

There have been extreme rumors lately about the duration of the order, including absolutely ridiculous claims on it lasting three hours, already debunked by developers at Ready at Dawn. Interestingly, veteran NeoGAF user OsirisBlack is actually playing the game, and he reports that he hasn’t yet finished the story after 12 hours and a half of gameplay.

Can't wait to play it; 4 days to go :)

Well, let's make it easier to understand: you post something that in the end relies on a GAF user -> proof.

I do the same with post reference -> no proof. Some are not even trying anymore, it seems.

Of course it's not the only metric, I was trying to be a bit sarcastic. But it seems that The Order's main problem is duration of its gameplay.

The Walking Dead won so many GOTY awards a few years back, and I don't recall a single person taking a stopwatch to measure gameplay, that can probably be expressed in minutes, not hours...

All I'm saying, we have two topics here, and many elsewhere, measuring gameplay duration as that is the main variable when it comes to pricing games.

The length would be more tolerable (if it does ideed take me around 5 hours) if it has replaybility. Does it have NG+ or any RPG elements in it?

It's not the only proof, and it's not even a proof that you will finish the game in less than 6 hours.  Other players say it last more than 12 hours.
