I was wondering that too... With games like TO:1886 i usually consider anything over 8 hours to be relatively long, and i'm fine with that. If i want something that takes up a lot of my time i'll just spend 10 hours ranting about how much of a grind fest FF14's relic quest is. Then spend 300 hours doing it.

WTF... Seeing deleted posts, snipped by request and a hell of a lot of other stuff.

Mine as well just wait until it comes out and get the facts then. Although 5 hours vs. 6-7 isn't that much of a difference. Both instances seem like a short game.

However, I think the game being short might not be it's biggest issue...

Good to know. Hopefully I can finish it in one day and then I'll sell it on Kijiji for $55.

Why pre-order a game that's going to be every where when it comes out. The Order: 1886 doesn't even have a compelling online mode. This game will be half the price within a month or two of release. I would of waited for some reviews and a price drop if I were you.

 

Because I am a real gamer and thats what we do. The game looks great to me and I have been following since I first seen it. I just want the game to be a fun experience even if it only last 5 hours.


Being real gamer has nothing to do with being informed before making a buying decision. If you want to support developper buy DLC, don't resell your games and never play or download pirated games. Most of the big titles release are simply large corporation looking to make a quick buck .... Diversify and support indie games. 

Last year there only four games I bought at launch Diablo 3, Mario Kart U, Bayonetta 2 & Halo MCC. Halo MCC, I return because how bad the online was and bought it again less then a month later on sales at Best-buy for 20$ less.  All four games, I have played more then 50 hours... well maybe not bayonetta 2 but that came with Bayonetta 1 and was a great deal.

Its just a rumor. And I remember people claimed to finish Destiny in less than 8 hours too before the game came out.

Of course it's going to be a reasonably short game. Not many shooters thse days have particularly long campaigns. As far as im concerned that's often for the best, no point padding out a game just to beat 10 hours.
