Forums - Gaming - I feel like Phil lied to me RANT!!!

People are harping on unannounced games, idk why. All he said is holiday 2015 has a lot of first and third party games coming. They can be games we know about already and are releasing later this year.

Glad I didn't believe him!

Maybe you should wait for more games to be announced? Its February

But seriously though... how often are there announcements for big games that will be released the same year?

Hell even some indies are announced over a year in advance now.

Well... in recent memory there is Halo MCC, Killzone SF, Knack, Dead Rising 3, every COD game, every AC game, most sports games and probably quite a few more that I forgot.

Halo MCC is a remaster and is pretty much what people already expected, at least Halo 2 Anniversary was already pretty much confirmed long before the announcement. The launch games were announced together with the console and as such couldn't have been announced earlier. Yearly games don't really have announcements because they will be released anyway and everyone knows it.

So no games. Announcing the game close to the release is a very bad practice because you need at least a year hype buildup. That's why you won't see it often. That's why I think it's foolish to expect any announcements of big titles that are released within the year.

All you can hope for are some other remasters.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

He tends to do that

phil is the handsome poster boy who gets people hyped, that's pretty much it.

Phil is going to tell the people what they want to hear. Don't take his word as gospel. He once said they had big things lined up for Japan.

For the most part but like many already mentioned when he was talking about 2015 he was refering to the 4th quarter.   Would be nice if they would spread them out some more since the first half is pretty weak unless they have some surprise releases.

I say you should wait until after E3. If there's nothing for 2015 that appeals to you on XBO, then you can rant.

Not if they aren't ready. They release early and here come the patch wars.

Not really hard to have a good 4th quarter when you have nothing of note for the rest of the year. And when I say of note I mean system sellers.

Forza Horizon 2 released like 3 or 4 months after announcement, Little Big Planet 3 like 5 months. Arent those AAA games?

And I can't wait for a Gears collection announcement. So theres the remaster.
