I think that depends entirely on what type of game or even which series specific gamers prefer more.

Me personally, IF this Zelda comes close to living up to even half of it's grand potential, then it will blow Xenoblade X out of the water for me, regardless. I'm sure "X" will be amazing, but while I like it, it's not personally my cup of tea, gameplay wise. At least, if it has the same type of battle system. It was an amazing achievement on Wii, and I think that the Wii U game will obviously be far better. But IF this Zelda doesn't get bogged down by some ridiculous gameplay gimmick, or silly storyline, then I think that it could be pretty amazing.

Zelda is jumping ahead so far ahead of itself that Zelda consumers will actually be introduced to the scale of grand exploration that Xenoblade X has to offer. Not a bad thing for Zelda to advance into such a huge world, but to be honest, I think Zelda could boost Xenoblade X's sales and open a whole new world of how Nintendo will hold their future IPs or advance its current IPs.. just another point of view.

I believe that X certainly has a chance. While Zelda is almost always an amazing game that is incomparable, Xenoblade Chronicles is a series that can definitely compete. I mean the original Xenoblade Chronicles against Skyward Sword? While SS was a great game, so was XC. Both have their ups and downs.

When you said that 300h was 100% of the game you made it look like a fact. I know that the best evidence we have is the previous game but even so it's just a hunch. That's why I asked for a source. Now I know threre's no source.


It was the other user that i was responding to that said it was 300 hours. I just pointed out that its unlikely that that is the main quest length... at wich point you asked me for a source and i gave you the original game as the example. Main quest took about 60 hours, but to get everything you would take well above 100 hours.

The 300 hours do come from a statement of a team member. Another poster linked it in the previous page.

I get it and I agree with you in regard to the main quest not being 300 hours long.

I think just the fact that we have a relatively new Nintendo IP with only one game under its belt so far already going toe-to-toe with freaking ZELDA is pretty amazing in itself.
