I like to choose females but then when I get to parts of the games where you can have love interests with another woman then I feel like switching to the male character. So I'll say I choose male most of the time in games that give the option.

This is a main time where I stick to the guy. Don`t want to be with a guy : X

Did it bother you before when there wasn`t an option, or when games today don`t have them, or do you not really mind?

This was me when I was 15 and Phantasy Star Online just came out. Granted I wanted to make a Human MAGIC USER/MAGE and the only option was the female FOmarl. So I was like okay females can still kick serious amounts of booty while having a serious good looking booty herself, and Samus is one of my favorite VG heroins so I went for it. While I was at it I made her EXACTLY my type (Red heads/brunettes), so I could enjoy my eyes and soothe my raging teenage hormones...

I was surprise at the amount of attention... Teens were so much guilible back then since MMOs were at it's infancy, so yeah guys would give u free shit all the time for just saying your a girl and blowing them a kiss like this :-* (man geeks are so desperate).

After a while it just felt gay flirting with guys and I got uncomfortable with it, so I stopped when I started playing World of Warcraft. But I still make chars female as my mains when I start an MMO out of tradition from PSO (has the same name all the time too).

In games that tend to be single player, I tend to make them male, since your are more likely to have a love interest in them (Baldur's Gate II, Fire Emblem: Awakening). Plus Single Player games tend to have more of an epic story to them, so it makes me feel like I'm in there with all the supporting characters fighting side by side with them and just as a part of the story as they are (Pokémon games).

Depend on the game.
I will NEVER play a female character in a soul game, because i like the male voice/death a lot.
On FF13, i wanted to play a Miko'te, so of course i choose a girl, just because .

So yeah, i play with both gender.

doesnt bother me, a game is a game, a gender is just a random choice

I always pick females in RPGs and stuff because I have always wanted to be a girl and often dress/live as one so in my video game worlds I like to be female:)

a lot of the time my choice has to do with how they look to me , my latest example would be destiny I came up with a couple of cool looking female character creations but all the male ones looked dud , so it was female all the way , but in Dragons age inquisition it is a male giant creation of mine that took my fancy.

I see, that`s cool. I`ve heard a bit of a hullabaloo sometimes when female choices are not available in games, like Assassin`s Creed Unity. So that`s good that not everyone sees it as a big deal, though having the option is mostly nice to have. Thanks for answerin`
