Agree. Some months Xbox will win because of things like price cut or a console seller game but the overall year will be for the ps4 again, just wait and see the sales with the order this month and with bloodborne next month and X1's without any big exclusive for a few months.

Gonna be fun.

Germany is great for ps4 lovers.
System + 3 games fir 399. Who cares about xbox price cut? It doesnt get better than this. And in us they will also release a bundle like zhis when xbox goes down.
Oh, in my oppinion, price cut is nothing else than giving in.

Yeah, I'm seriously considering to buy the 1 TB CoD bundle for 299 €. Not because I want an Xbox but just because it's so damn cheap. I mean sooner or later there's bound to be some exclusive game I wanna play, so why not buy the console now? ^^

edit: whoops, I think I might have misread your post, but anyway.

topic: We're one and a half year in with PS4 on top despite Microsoft going all in with crazy deals, policy changes and price cuts left and right. So I think PS4 Pretty much won the gen already.

Ummmm...probably, yeah.

I feel like it will be similar to last year, where PS4 wins most of the months but XB1 wins the holiday. But it also depends on when (or if) they do a price cut.

Oh, and for those who think Halo 5 will make a huge difference, keep this in mind: a combination of Halo 3 and a price cut were not enough to provide a truly sustained boost to 360 sales. The combination of those two factors did make September 2007 one of the best non-holiday months ever for the 360 in the U.S., but sales were down 30% the next month, and by spring of 2008 the 360 was back to where it was before the price cut. Furthermore, subsequent Halo games appear to have had a negligible effect on hardware sales.

One of the lessons that the history of game sales teaches us is that individual software releases by themselves rarely have the ability to provide any kind of substantial long-term boost, much less carry an entire system by itself. The number of titles that fit this description probably numbers no greater than half a dozen, and the seventh generation suggests that no future Halo game will ever be added to that group. The fact that Halo as a franchise has not seen any real growth since Halo 3 (first-month sales were flat from H3 to Reach to H4, and VGC cumulative data also indicates very similar performances over time) lends further credence to my claim that Halo 5 will not be a significant factor in long-term Xbox One sales.

Yea I think a series can only go on for so long (COD seems to break that mold). I think evenually people get tired of it. For instance Gears of War was one of the main reasons I got a 360 (mass effect also) and I got every single Gears game first day after that (except judgement hate prequel stories). I went PS4 this gen cause honestly I'm just done with Gears it was fun at first but now I could not play it ever again and be ok. I would like to have the opportunity against but it's not enough for me to ignore resoultion. My TV is to damn big and my apartment to damn small.

I believe this gen USA will be basically like this:

PS4 will expand the gap all year until ~october, then MS will put all their First/second party exclusives + good deals in november+ december and will narrow the gap(but not as much as the gap PS4 made that year).

That's a bold claim buddy >: ) The Xbox1 is already cheaper than the PS4, so that might pull in some people to buy the Xbox 1 over the PS4. Though if things keep going the way they are, the PS4 will have more to offer over the XB1 and look like the better buy. I think at this point, the PS4 will win it out in the end.

If it does not manage to sell more than PS4 this year it's pretty much done. I say if it sells less than PS4 this year it won't even end close.

The NA market is the only region where the real competition is being held. PS4 vs Wii U in Japan isn't as exciting
