I voted "You're weird, Wright.", but not because of the thread.

Eh, I'm an undercover gay guy myself (no trans), so I have no right to judge.

If they were born with both and chose one, I wouldn't have a problem with it. If they switched genders, then the whole a man should not become a women thing would really bother me. I'm a gay friendly Christian, but that would be my breaking point regarding a serious relationship. I wouldn't mind being friends though, and would treat them like anyone else as a friend.

That being said, I'm not available and doubt this would ever come up.

I only care about the visible gender, for aesthetic reasons.

As far as sex is concerned I couldn't care less, so not a problem for me.

Also FtM or MtF doesn't matter as FtM are pretty traps and in the case of MtF I keep my beauty standards.

If I knew how to put pics on here I'd post pics of myself as a "girl" at the risk of all gaining the attention of all the meanies on here:p

Not sure if I actually want to see those pics (), but it's not that hard to post pics on here.  Just click on Rich Text Reply above the Quick Reply box.  Qouting someone brings it up, too.  In the icons above the box where you type your post is a small icon with a picture of a tree.  Click on it and it'll open a new window where you just post the link (Image URL) of the pic you wish to post.

Hey now, you might be surprised!!!:p

No, I wouldn't. Having children is important to me, a transexual wouldn't be able to do that with me, so no I wouldn't date one.

But this is dating? Unless you have kids with every person you date lol

But why would I date someone if I didn't think there was any potential of having a future with them?

just post operation and if she is realy hot-

No. Not to get technical but by definition It would make me a heterosexual man dating a man posing as a woman (or altered to be a woman). Seems a bit contradictory for a heterosexual person. Moreover, the genitalia of a person isn't the only intrinsic trait to determining acceptance of a particular person. This can be taken forward as why some people may question their sexuality in many types of cases.

I have nothing against transsexuals, and their disposition to being a woman or man doesn't imply required acceptance (acceptance in dating sense) by everyone as it's only his/her disposition. Therefore only those who accept, for what ever reasoning/belief, would want to. Case in point, nothing wrong with either answer.

Yes I am male IF she is in the first state of being transexual. Meaning she thinks she is a guy and wants to turn into a guy but still is 100% female. So basically before she did anything to become a guy.

If someone was a guy then 100% NOT.

I don't understand. I was adopted and I received love like all my friends. So I can't the point of "have children is important". But maybe is just me

It's not just you. I'd much rather adopt than have biological children. There are too many children out there that need a home (and love), and I wish people could see that. This may sound weird to 99.99% of the population, but I find the whole need for your "own" children (such a terrible term) a bit selfish (Aristotle did too, for anyone who cares). It sucks that the vast majority of the couples who adopt are unable to have biological children. It's be much better if more peole did not think this way, as far as I'm concerned.

Having said that, sorry Wright. I wouldn't. I'm happy for all transexuals but I don't find myself attracted to them. If I was already in love with someone who was a trassexual and I didn't know it, I guess I wouldn't have a problem.

On a side note. Has anyone else watched Transparent? I just watched the entire first season today and it's pretty good.

There are strong religious, spritual and traditional reasons. Many religious folk do it for good old-fashioned procreation. Some people feel that the child is like the merging of spririts/entities of the romantic couple. And some just do it becuase it's the norm.
