Gallop Racer 2003: A New Breed for PS2.

A female friend of mine had it (otherwise I can't imagine I'd ever have heard of it, let alone played it) and...guilty pleasure, be damned...I got really into it. The racing was pretty good, managing the horses and earning money and acclaim to level up your jockey and your training equipment was cool, and then the ability to breed your retired horses and create AWESOME ones that you could train yourself and then dominate every race with was very addicting and extremely satisfying. I put a LOT of time into that game. Tried the one that came out the year after and it just wasn't the same.

Upcoming Games To Get

Definite: Kirby Star Allies (Switch), Mario Tennis Aces (Switch), Fire Emblem (Switch), Yoshi (Switch), Pokemon (Switch), Kingdom Hearts 3 (PS4), Monster Hunter World (PS4)

Considering: Fe (Switch), Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze (Switch), The World Ends With You (Switch), Ys VIII (Switch), Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition (PS4), Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Remix (PS4), The Last Guardian (PS4), Shadow of the Colossus HD (PS4), Anthem (PS4), Shenmue 3 (PS4), WiLD (PS4)

Now that I think about it... probably Shenmue. The story is kinda weird, but at the same time pretty epic. That's what I love about this game, making it one of my favourites.

Yeah, Sega had their A game back then. Lots of weird ideas in games but they were so fun. Like in Shenmue you drove a forklift around and collected capsule toys. Who woulda thought that up?

In order to enter the hideout of a streetgame you need to pay the guard that's guarding the fence. How do you earn the money which you need quite desperately though? Of course! By playing rounds and rounds of lucky hit!

(Thank you, Yu Suzuki, Shenmue was the best game I played in 2014 )

Power Shovel for PS1

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Zone of the Enders The 2nd Runner

PS1 had a lot of good ones. PaRappa the Rapper and Bust A Groove were among my favorites.

Don't forget NFL Blitz back in 1997 or 1998 (I forget which year it was released)! Ah, football (the American football) the way it should be played.

The forklift races where kinda a pain in the butt never could get 1st place in then.  The collectable caspule toys where one of my favorite aspects of the game.
