So you look like you're looking for a Street Fighter style brawler with Nintendo characters. As long as it's not too technical I could get behind that.

But a Nintendo Hearts with Square-Enix would probably help Nintendo more marketwise. They already have Smash Bros. and could include more Capcom characters like Megaman if they really wanted to. |
"They already have Smash Bros." doesn't mean anything. Capcom already has Street Fighter. They already have X (cross) games. They already have the VS. Series.
Nintendo doesn't have an exclusive traditional fighting game. Capcom is not known for "hearts" games, so there's no reason for them to make one with Nintendo. They already have and are well known for their VS. Series. All the more reason to make one with Nintendo. It works because Nintendo and Capcom both do similar enough things to work together. Smash does Nintendo 1st party collabs while the VS series does a half and half collab between two separate companies. They are very different, yet very similar, and both have on going series with them.

One thing that can prevent this from happening (other than Nintendo's refusal because Capcom wouldn't) is that Street Fighter 5's exclusivity contract on PS4. Does that exclusivity contract only limit SF 5 to PS4 or any other fighting game with SF characters? I out of the know in have why SF5 is PS4 exclusive so I have no idea if other SF related things will be exclusive to PS4 as well. |
Only SF5 lol. No exclusivity deal works like that.
Lol. Nintendo is 125 year old company and has seen WW1, WW2, Cold war etc. Stop worrying about them. They are doing fine. They dont need capcom's collaboration. Smash bros is perfect fighter nintendos consoles. They dont need street fighter.

What? No, the purpose is to be extremely technical to counter balance other games like Smash and Pokken that don't require the traditional type of technicality. It would be incredibly technical. Though Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom uses a 3 attack system instead of a 6 one like other Capcom fighting games and still manages to be technical while simpler for novices, so if it's like that I'm down. In fact, I want it to be exactly like that.

Can't comment on your views of Pokemon if you still play Kirby. |
Like I said, I think this is a pretty good idea, I just see it as being too similar in concept to Smash. Sure the gameplay is traditional 2D instead of the unique style of Smash, but the concept is the same. You take a bunch of characters from a bunch of different universes from each company, throw them into a game, and make them fight it out.
This really is a great idea though. The only issue is last I heard Capcom only has around $60million in the bank. I'm sure they made some money off the SF 5 deal with Sony as well as having them fund the game, but for this game to become a reality Nintendo would have to offer Capcom a similar deal.
*edit* Also like I said, I know its a bit hippocritical, dunno why I feel like that, I just do haha.

I'm not worrying about them. I'm worrying about me. This just happens to greatly benefit them. And Capcom. And Wii U owners. Smash is not a fighter. It's a party brawler. There is no perfect fighter on Nintendo systems. With this, there would be. Nintendo is not doing fine. They're trying to maintain support for failing hardware that lost them profits 3 years in a row for the first time in their history.

Nintendo is not stupid. They will comeback. And they know they need something like Wii.

They were stupid enough to make the Wii U fail because they wanted something like the Wii.
As with Fire Emblem Warriors it would make too much sense for Capcom and Nintendo to collaborate on a Nintendo vs. Capcom game.
