Forums - Microsoft - Xbox One lost another exclusive

I've learned that games going to PC is useful for gaining some extra softwate sales and being used in fanboy banter. In March when Titanfall came out everyone supposedly had a gaming PC, yet we learned that was a lie. Also if people had gaming PC a majority of the games like Alien, Wolfenstein, Watch Dogs... would have sold more on PC because that is the best experience. Yet console sales outnumber PC sales by a wide margin each time.

The more money MSFT makes, the more I believe it will lead to a better gaming experience for XBOX gamers. The same people who say no need for XB1 was never intending to get one anyway.

Believe it or not I didn't. I made an educated guess and said yeah my pc could easily handle this. It's great to have these games made available to me.

But it cant.

Prove it. My alienware will also likely play this with ease.  So you can provide evidence why that won't either while you are at it.

you got some hardcore damage control going on in this thread. xbox lost an exclusive, one less reason to own an xbox if you're a pc gamer or a playstation/nintendo gamer. it's simple really. good for microsoft, bad for xbox.

its a weird situation.

When Microsoft wasnt supporting Windows games for PC properly then fans cried out at Microsoft for it and said its a bad move and bashed them

Now Microsoft starts adding games to PC and its still perceived as bad to people

I view Microsoft in the same light I do Nintendo sometimes. They're in a no win situation no matter what they do

You misunderstand. MS shouldn't have gone console in the first place.

Huh? Puzzled by this post

MS should not have entered the console business. Got it now?

Hunting Season is done...

I have a pc and an alienware that could have handled titanfall.  The reason I didn't buy it was because I didn't like it. It was a game that was rushed. Bad single player and barebones multiplayer. That plus the fact it didn't have a good player count in online matches. Bots needed to make up the gap. If the game turned out to be this gens gears of war I'd have bought it for sure.

That cant either

Its a windows10 PC exclusiuve.

So neither of your pc's can play it yet unless you are prepared to upodate to windows 10 and embed yourself further into the MS ecosystem.

Lmao I love how you say Microsoft ecosystem like its a bad thing. Or that I try to avoid it. I've always had windows and one of my pc's will be upgraded to windows 10. If I like it better then both will. Looks like I'm all set for Fable.

It's pretty easy to make an educated guess as to what your PC can run. The fact it's already running on a console with static (and easily comparable) hardware makes said educated guess even easier :p That's of course making the assumption that it isn't optimized like ass, but when also considering that the PC version will have multiple graphical options, i'd be incredibly surprised if FL required anything more than the standard PC a mum would buy in PC World (akin to a low end gaming PC).

Edit: Just found the recommended settings on google and yep, they're very low end. 2GB RAM minimum lol (4GB recommended). That's in tune with what i guessed. Glad to see they've optimized it well though, even if i don't personally have any plans to buy it.

Still a exclusive. Only on Microsoft platform, end of discussion.

All is good.  MS gains an extra sale of a game it wouldnt have sold otherwise.  They will be grateful to you for your cash.

Yes they gain a sale which is pennies compared to the money they've made from me over the years on the many products I've used from them. But more importantly this gives me the satisfaction of playing a good game i couldn't have otherwise.  Chuffed with the news and hoping for many more in future.

Pennies?  Its literally not pennies. lol.

You win becaseu you get the game.  They win because they get some cash from you.

Its all good.  Which is why most of this thread is bizarre.

No if you re-read my post you will see i said pennies compared to the money they've made off me. Because they've made thousands over the years on the pc side of things.

But yes it's all good except for the console losing another exclusive game. Hence one less reason to buy it and that I guess is the point of this thread. On a site about console sales I'd say it's relevant.
