I think the short movie before movie three has ash celebrating the day he and pikachu met. and that was all the way back in gen 2. he should be at least 15 by now.

After that I though he'd finally win in BW, but then pikachu resets to lvl 1, ash gets THE THREE STARTERS AGAIN (burning team slots), and only one of them evolves. at least he got a better variety of pokemon in BW and actually changed teams frequently.

WELL.............. Those Nurse Joys and those Officer Jenny should give some "extreme fanservice" to Brock.

Or make a Harem Anime, where Brock is the main guy =D 

The anime went into full rinse and repeat. I was tempted to count how many kids he saved pokemon for, after this whole time. But I'd probably go insane lol. The onyl thing that actually stays interesting is his clothes. Since they cahnge more often than Ash. Want Ash to lose at the start of a Gen? Make him CHOOSE not to use Pikachu. And use his starter/first capture. Ep1 of B&W was dear god. And you have Iris acting like "This guy s a noob." I'm like HE BEAT THE BATTLE FRONTIER...

I would try the Pokemon Manga, instead. As well as the recent anime adaptation of Red/Blue manga. It's supposed to be much more engaging.

I can never understand why that show still runs and why people ever watched it, the Pokemon Anime was always terrible, period. Even as a kid (back when I was huge fan of the Pokemon games) I hated the show, everything in it took forever. The first Digimon season completely blew the Pokemon show out of the water.

The curse of following preset material. You gotta make it last till the new stuff is made. And game making is longer than a TV series. If the show didn't have to follow the games. Realistically, the entire game would be one season. Or they shorten the seasons to half. So that Gym fights are done in sections. 3 years: 3 Gyms per year. Last year is 2 gyms and Team fight. Than League episodes. So instead of having around 150 eps per gen its only 60.

Or it can be broken up with the movies. So they actually become useful. The Legendary fights and Team master fights are in the movies. While the show handles the rest. Imagine the drought/water storm Groudon and Kyogre did in Hoenn, as a movie. Along with Ash stopping both teams. The movie would allow the scoop of the destruction. Not be two parts, and have Lance show up for no reason.

I personally haven't watched it since the Hoenn series. However, I've read many places that when XY started, they got a seriously more generous budget, is that true? Better animations and stuff I've heard. Again I haven't watched it in a long time.

The story is the same it's always been I guess.

Usually, I prefer reading the manga since I feel that it is much more mature and stuff actually happens, rather than there being 30 episodes between each gym and throwing in random towns that never existed. I wish they'd do more anime like Pokemon Origins personally, but it entertains children which is what they were going for but after growing up, later episodes of the show are almost cringe-worthy for me.
