Key difference being that the GB line was all pixel art, 2D graphics, not 3D graphics which are hit a lot harder when your resolution is crappy.

That's a retailer price cut, not an official price cut.
When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.
Excluding the poor resolution, is their any other reason u wouldn't own one?

Amazon lists the official price first, then the price underneath as their cut price.
Look at Gamestop's price as well (this is the bundle) http://www.gamestop.com/ps4/accessories/playstation-tv-system-bundle/115549
Not convinced yet? Look at Best Buy http://www.bestbuy.com/site/sony-playstation-tv-system-bundle/6732027.p?id=1219238019229&skuId=6732027
Walmart is the only one that has it still at $99, but Walmart always does this kind of shit http://www.walmart.com/ip/Sony-PlayStation-TV-System-VTE-1001/39403942
Target also has it listed as the same http://www.target.com/p/playstation-tv-bundle-with-dualshock-3-and-lego-movie-video-game-for-ps-vita/-/A-16564950#prodSlot=medium_1_1&term=Playstation+TV
I'm pretty sure the official price is lower.
Ïde only buy something if it would play my 3ds games on the WiiU gamepad. I enjoy playing games while watching tv too much to give up that option.
I would, only to be able to play with a CPP. That'd make it worth it.

Well does it matter? :P That's the hangup of hangups, the concept and price point are diametrically opposed to one another, for now.
Also, if it's just a handheld but not portable, why bother? Handheld and home console game design are fundamentally different so if you want every game playable on both, either one side will suffer or Nintendo will still have to do roughly the same work to produce two games to appeal to the two different groups, just the home console one will be gimped to oblivion by the power restrictions. I mean play Super Mario 3D Land and then 3D World. There is a design difference in the level layout, the pace, the scale, etc to accomodate convenience and on-the-go gaming where 3D Land is concerned. Even compare Metroid Fusion and the old Super Metroid: gameplay wise, very similar, but Fusion is blatantly designed to be more convenient and faster to fit with the handheld design philosophy. Most handheld games are shorter for this very reason: you can marathon games like fusion in two to three hours and even games like 3D Land are not very long. Just saying, the two are different so it's not like they can just be all willy nilly with it; it's not as easy as fuse platforms, print money.

Nope its not, go look at the Playstation website, it's still $99. Retailers cut the price due to poor sales.

So I guess it's not official. However, that doesn't change the fact that PS TV is going to be cheaper pretty much everywhere except for on the Playstation website, which also directs you to retailers who sell it for cheaper. But I still think the $99 price for a 3DS version would still be too expensive, all things considered.
