a) Has Nintendo ever explained why they hate online gaming so much? In 2004 their excuse was that "No one cares about online" but what about their excuse now?
Anyway the Wii U isn't doing well among Nintendo gamers. 3D World and Celda aren't what they wanted really, and the gamepad has faced similar backlash.
b) By 2013 Nintendo was still losing money and they have yet to release separate gamepads so it shows it costs more money than we think. A super powerful console loses its costs fast. The PS3 cost $840 to make in 2006 but by 2009 it was only $300. The 360 cost $525 to manufacturer in 2005 but by 2006 it was only $325.
And yeah, Nintendo would still have to work with third parties. It wouldn't just magically happen if they had a more powerful console. This is why I think Iwata and Miyamoto need to either get fired or retire as soon as possible.

a)Im guessing it has something with them gripping onto the local multiplayer family experience. As if online would rip apart families.
I fail to see this gamepad backlash other than people saying that it should be dropped in order to make a cheap skul
b)Why would Nintendo release seperate gamepads(they did sell them for $150 at launch)? You can get a phone with a hell of a lot more features/technology than the gamepad for $50, so the cost of it should be signifigantly lowerthan that.
Nintendo isnt going to blow money on 3rd parties unless they are getting an exclusive game out of it. Again they dont have money to loss lead with.
Personally I would also like to see Iwata and Miyamoto go, but I think Nintendo has already set its course and it cannot be set right
Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.
Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.
