He's asking because a lot of countries still use the European number naming system, where the Billion is a million millions, and the American Billion is a Milliard.

We have a very complicated tax system that can be abused to almost pay nothing for rich people or big companies (same like most countries). Taxes for normal people are pretty high (some of the highest in the world I think).

In Iceland we do exactly that (milljarður=1000 millions and billjarður=1000 milljarðar)
