If we're just talking about home consoles, then I think PS4 will win (mainly due to the order release), but if it was overall, I would say the 3DS, as it'll be getting MM3D + MH4G and a new model.



Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

As seece says depends on January. Ps4 looked like slaughtering xbox for January but the new price cut will give xbox a chance. I will go with a win in January for the ps4 and a win for February thanks to the order boost. March is Bloodborne I think and with battlefield hardline siding with ps4 is think the ps4 could beat the xbox right up to E3 even with a higher price tag.

PS4 will win every NPD from this month on. Neither halo 5 release can compete with PS4 imho. We have to rember that every PS4 sold will have a free copy of TLOU remastered, and if the bundle with The order and/or Bloodborne will come with a price of 399 dollars, PS4 will receive a momentum (because x1 is discovered in that frametime)  a PS4 with 2 masterpiece at 399 dollar is a must.

February normally is still a slow month, but this lets us even more in doubt: will it be a virtual tie or will any novelty bigger than the rest launched by any competitor make it zoom past the others? And novelties made last February quite big for Sony, despite the normally slowish period, but now XBOne is performing competitively with PS4 in USA.
So many variables...
So I think PS4 will probably win, but I really cannot predict by how much.
Much easier to predict worldwide!

Is the XOne's $349? I think the Order 1886 will give the PS4 the edge.

Well, going by Amazon, it seems the price cut is giving the XBO a higher baseline, but still not higher than the PS4's. The price has been $349 for over 24 hours, but the XBO failed to make it into the Top 10 Bestsellers for the hour and seems to be falling (though, I'm sure it will be be going up and down throughout the month.) PS4, on the other hand, seems to continue to hover around #5.

So, considering that, plus the fact that Sony has a pretty big exclusive launching in Feb, I'm going with the PS4.
