It looks like its spring loaded. Eventually that little spring will give out and that's all she wrote for the analog stick. Assuming the stick itself survives regular usage. Even the slide pad on 3DS had issues with SSB3DS.

Cool idea, will change nothing in the gaming ecosphere. If Apple seriously wants in, they should invest in a official snap-on accessory that adds a full suite of buttons and controls to their iphone.
You know Doom topics are really getting pointless these days for Nintendo.
They used ot mean something hwen Nintendo was losing 3rd parties, but seeing as Nintendo is almost 100% keeping their own consoles alive with their own games and no 3rd party help it does not matter who enters the competition or whatever. The 3DS has better 3rd party help than the Wii U, but still.
Nintendo games will not be on this system and thus Nintendo will not be doomed.
Lol no.
And hopefully nobopdy will buy that, because there are no buttons and I don't like Apple products.

1 u think the i sheep care ? 2 Sony is not apple, this will sale 100 times better then then much better sony product. 3 true 4 like they stayed on their consoles, if we can say one thing with confidence. 3rd partys will drop nintendo the first chance they can. |
Now here's a question. Will 3rd party totally drop Nintendo, when majority on smartphones won't buy games past a certain price. They've been condition to see $1 for a while now. These are new games. They aren't ports that already made their money somewhere else. They aren't offered on Nintendo/Sony handhelds. There's no back up to allow a $1-$5 price on the app store anymore. Than space issues will also start to creap up into the equation.
Resistance is futile.

RolStoppable said: That's the biggest issue for me by far. Obviously touch-based joysticks are a bigger issue, but that doesn't make touchscreen buttons likeable. Also true. |
On top of all that, I think the biggest issue is that...people who play games on Apple devices have gone several years without built-in controls, and the space has still been rolling in cash. It's never been mandatory for people to buy in. Thus smartphones have been able to whittle down the market for dedicated handhelds plenty without one. I don't expect it's inclusion to change much when it's already having an impact anyway.
