I really dont think it will pass the ps2 but it sure as hell will make it to 100 million if not more

Sales could be more frontloaded this generation, given the length of last generation. A 100m sold units for any product is harder to achieve than most people give it credit for. In all honestly I feel it could sale as high as 110m, but I feel generally more confortable around 95m

I doubt it'll pass PS2 but it'll break 100m easily. That's a win no matter how hard you spin it.

the Playstation 2 had a good stream of games released for it for almost a decade or more.... (something like 1999-2010)

its delusional to think that the PS4 will have anywhere near that long lifetime. the only other system that comes to mind that did would be like the NES. it won't happen. The PS2 is an exception. the reason it sold so well for such a sustained period of time is the fact that it had other somewhat innovative technology connected to it (DVD player), and everyone needed a DVD player at the time

the PS4 does not provide the same universal need. all systems (generally speaking) sell well the first few years, but there is no way the PS4 user base keeps on pace with the PS2, and there is no way that its lifetime is anywhere near as long at the PS2's

very dependent on when the next gen systems come out, the economy, Sony as a company as a whole (if financial woes continue they may not be able to in-house produce as many games), the competition, etc. etc. etc.

I think its a bit early to be making these sort of guesses. if another hack into private information in Sony's headquarters happen you can be certain it will not continue selling so well
