Metal Gear Solid with RPG elements? That would be interesting. I've only played a bit of MGS before but I know the basics. An upgrade system can always make a game feel more customized.

After talking to the mod team about this thread, I've decided to go ahead and lock this thread.

Why?

Because when the direction of the OP is this: This is the new chat room. In this thread, you may speak your mind about whatever you'd like. Any game, new or old. Don't worry about being off topic because here you can't be! Feel free to talk about your life, food, music, whatever as well. It's mainly for gaming (This is VGC) but I'm open to all discussion.

The thread has no direction, and therefore cannot go in a direction (despite the mods efforts to try and shape the discussion).

This forum (along with the vast majority of internet forums) was created in order to take large ideas and topics and systematically filter them down into smaller and more specific ideas of discussion. This forum (VGChartz, the site for video games and video game sales) filters down into Topics of Discussion (Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony, General, Sports, Sales, etc.) which filters down into threads (NPD thread in Sales, Football League in Sports, Smash League in Nintendo, etc.) and that ultimately filters down into posts (and an idea can be filtered even further down, in regards to replies to posts).

That's how it works.

This thread on the other hand, with the instructions of the OP, ignores the system and creates a forum within a thread. That's not the purpose of a thread, as it cannot sustain itself by doing so. The systems of filtering are there for a reason, and it's done for the overall health of discussion.

If you want to make a general "let's talk about games we're playing" in the Gaming Discussion area? Awesome! (Didn't you do that?) If you want to make a "Talk About Your Favorite Sports Team!" in the Sports Discussion? Sweet. We already have a "What Song Are You Listening To?" thread in Music Discussion, and that's a perfectly viable thread.

A thread needs direction. Any direction. This thread has none, so therefore it cannot be. Feel free to filter an idea that you want to discuss and post it in the apropriate Topic. That's all I'm asking. Thanks!
