New games. That's what they need to show. If they don't, then they're gonna be in some trouble.

That's stupid Coney and u know it. They have like 10 1st/2nd party Wii U games scheduled for this year that have yet to release. 3DS could use some announcements but even then there are about a half dozen exclusives already announced.

This Direct is for games thru spring, or in other words games releasing before or shortly after E3. Absolutely no reason to expect a bunch of new games. At most, we should except 1-2 new game announcements.

No, it's not stupid. It's commonsense. Sure this is a Spring Direct so I'd be surprised if we see new titles, but that's what people want to see. I don't wanna see Monster Hunter or Kirby again, I definitely don't want to time to be dedicated to DLC or software updates. Show us something new, rather than just more of what we already know. They have plenty of games they can do this with (FE x SMT springs to mind), so if we can see more of these titles rather than stuff we already know plenty about, I'd be more than happy.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Around the Network

Since Soraya Saga retweeted the direct, I'm expecting a release date for Xenoblade Chronicles X.

And I'm pretty sure we will get release dates for splatoon, mario maker, yoshi wooly world and mario party 10, all for the first half of 2015.

I want them to show something about star fox or zelda, as well as possible multiplats. And Gamecube on virtual console would be awesome.

For, 3ds, not much besides new 3ds and xenoblade release on west.

"New third party Wii U title" lol :P

I expect we'll see some new info on one or two non-spring titles, especially given some of the most hyped titles of the year for Wii U are there. Xenoblade Chronicles X is likely, they've given it lots of screen time so far. Devil's Third is another possibility.

I think the original post is on it. I'm hoping for a SNES remix though...

I'd love to hear about a Paper Mario U, a Diddy Kong Racing 2 or Earthbound Forever, but no big game will be announced until e3 I think.

We might get a star fox trailer, simply because we've seen nothing of the game and the next chance they'll get will be in the next Nintendo Direct in probably 3/4 months? I doubt we'll get a Zelda one.

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate announced for WiiU.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

SURPRISE! Paper Mario for Wii U revealed! Coming this year. (2)

(1) would make my day, but seems a bit iffy (everything else is i think dead on), and (2), while possible, seems unlikely for 2015. i mean, intelligent systems does paper mario; they've been working up until the end of last year on code name s.t.e.a.m., which they're probably finishing up (not sure when it goes gold). that gives them a very narrow window of time to turn out a ttyd-worthy paper mario title... i see it as a 2016 title, and anyway i think wii u is flush with 2015 titles as it is, at least one retail release per month if all goes well, with some surprises thrown in. 2016 looks to be good too, if a little thin on releases as of now, with possibly a metroid and f-zero title as well as the rumored animal crossing u...

going to go out on a limb and say f-zero gets announced as the (mainly fanboy) crowd-pleaser before paper mario does.
