Exactly as the title says, would Nintendo's newest IP benefit from having a Beta? I'm definitely gonna say yes it would as it would help promote the game, something a new IP of a genre Nintendo systems rarely see could really use! I mean Nintendo Directs + Demo sold me and likely many others on games like Fire Emblem Awakening and Bravely Default, so I figure the same could happen here. Sure this would be slightly different as it's a Beta which Nintendo has never done before, but they've also never had an online multiplayer focused game either! Getting people talking and the online communitys going before the game even releases seems like a great way to build up hype. And yeah, I just wanna play this game asap, so do eet Nintendo!

Elaborate! If you mean to say a Beta is a bad idea because Nintendo is involved, then that's just silly! If you're just saying you don't think they will have a Beta period, well that's irrelevant to this thread!

Well betas and demos can help every game (unless they are bad). But I don't really see Splatoon seeing a huge benefit from having a beta.

Wouldn't hurt but I doubt they will. Least their online seems to be very functional so doesn't really matter to me
